Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you require a license (government ID) or passport?

A license (government ID) or passport is required to show who you are, and where you can be reached.  If you booked a hotel, they require a government verified ID before you check-in. We do the same. It provides an extra layer of professionalism and security for both you and our other guests.

Likewise, we provided our government ID’s, and more, to Airbnb and Vrbo who checked us out before we were allowed to become professional hosts on their hosting platforms, and also guests ourselves.

It is not an unreasonable feeling. Sometimes we feel similarly when we book vacation rental properties at other destinations. Yes, you can trust us. We are real people, who are who we say we are. Read the About Us tab to learn more or visit our Facebook and Instagram sites.

If you are nervous about booking directly from our website, our properties are also on large online travel agents. You’ll be paying more to book the same property on those websites, due to their fees. It is your choice.

Additionally, we provided our government ID’s, and more, to online travel agents like Airbnb and Vrbo, who checked us out before we were allowed to become professional hosts on their vacation rental platforms, or rent properties ourselves.

The deposit varies according to the property with the amount listed in the house rules.  The deposit is a credit card hold that goes into effect 2 days before your visit and is released 5-7 days after check-out if there are no damages, losses, or extra cleaning.

In general, if there are no damages, losses, or extra cleaning then you will receive the whole deposit back. Referring to the house rules, and the check-in, and the check-out procedures is helpful.

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out at 10:00 am CST.

It depends upon the property and schedule.  On days with back-to-back bookings early check-in and late check-out are not available because of the time it takes to clean and prepare the property between guests for your arrival.

That being said, you can always ask and we can check the schedule with the cleaning crew. If the property is available, we usually try to accommodate reasonable requests.
